After it made a big splash and debut at the 2007 SEMA Show, news on Project WRX V.08 (our 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX) fell a little short. Sorry, but blame it on the DMV. We purchased the car from Subaru HQ shortly before the show and have spent month after month jumping through hoops to finish the registration process.
"The Man" wanted to inspect the car, smog it twice (because the inspections took so long, the first smog check expired), have forms filled out, get info from Subaru and charge fee after fee. Well, it looks like it's finally over. Project WRX V.08 is back on the road and ready for more tuning. We've already got some hard parts from Cobb Tuning and Perrin Performance waiting, and we're wondering just how far we should go on the power. Then there's the matter of fitting bigger rubber (does the car needs wider fenders?), raising the suspension and making the whole thing faster and faster. If you see us on the road in SoCal, wave. If you can catch us.
