We're putting the finishing touches on our BSP-class autocross Project Evo IX build and the engine is coming up next. We've tackled the suspension with the help of JIC coilovers, a Hotchkis rear swaybar, 18x9.5-inch 5Zigen ZR+520 wheels and 265-width Toyo R888 tires. The car stops of a dime too, thanks to Ferodo DS2500 pads, Goodridge stainless lines and Motul fluid. Oh yeah, and did we mention that we dropped in a Takata harness and Sparco seat?

To make the car go, we've ordered up a few choice goodies. Still stock turbo, but we're massaging the formula to make what power we can. And with a factory turbo car, it won't be that easy. Anybody guess what we have in store for Project Evo IX?

1. I know every car mag has to have like a cornerstone car; or a car that they over-impose as the... Well I guess emblem of itself. What the core readers want, read, and love to drive, but it must be said. It...It truly must.

ENOUGH WITH THE EVOS!!!!!!!!!!

After what seems like 6 months worth of over-droned "Hey guys guess what? We got an EVO and the feature car is an EVO and here's a picture of the new EVO at some track doing something...." It gets alittle tiring. Its like seeing a great porno-flick everytime you turn on the TV. Sooner or later you get tired and toss it somewhere in your closet never to be seen again.

And that in my worthless opinion is what you're doing to the Evo... Its just like "Hmmm.... Evo, but this time's in grey not gunmetal hmmm....(turn page)....Oh wait there's sex pills at the back of the magazine....Yes (fake) doctor; I'm old and can't please my woman...yes....(put magazine away)...."

2. Help! I know this is not the place for this question , but I need some help . I have a '99 Olds Alero ,no its not any japanese make or even a european make , but it's fun to drive and gets good mileage . I would like some input on how to make it perform better . I specifically need to get some more horsepower out of it . Help soon , thanks
