It’s only a week away, but your going to have to wait for the results and videos.

I don’t even know how many USCC’s we’ve been through, but another year has come. And throughout the years, we’ve gotten the event down to a science. Unfortunately the contenders have too. So just like the FIA, we’ve worked up a couple of new curve balls in our USCC testing to make the event more competitive. Not the necessarily new tests, but changes in scoring and the testing methodology. The entrants will be mostly newbies that haven’t worked out the little tricks of USCC.

Although I can’t tell you what machines we’ve lined up this year, you’d be right to presume that some of Japan’s newest heavy hitters are in the line up. More importantly, this years USCC marks a major shift in tuning trends. We have the new techno wonder cars that are hard to tune but already sickeningly fast, facing off against tried and true platforms of the past. The final third of the field is made up of guys that truly embody the SCC spirit, odd Frankenstein projects that combine modern hardware, solid tuning and super light chassis from over a decade ago. Ultimately USCC is boiling down to a faceoff between the best of OEM technology and the tuner spirit where enginuity might just overcome the limitless budgets of car manufacturers. So this years USCC field is more exciting and relateable than ever. The cars are ever faster and more powerful which is a sign of the times. Tune in and find out if OEM technology or the tuner spirit prevails as the 2008 champion as the ultimate uncompromising street car.
