IFR Automotive Aspid debuts

We previously reported on the IFR Automotive Aspid HERE when the sports car was just a rendered unrevealed idea. Now the 400bhp, supercharged, 2.0-liter powered, 700kg (1543lbs), sports car has debuted. Unveiled at the '08 British International Motor Show, the Aspid promises 0-62mph times of 2.8-seconds.

Judging from it minimalist construction and dedication to lightweight, those numbers are entirely possible. But if you were even more hardcore, you could do it in a Lotus 7 or Caterham without the roof and even less weight.

1. it is super. saw it at the motorshow in the flesh and ordered one - fully loaded!! - gosh it is so popular....i want to be one of the first girls to hit the road in it. If you see me going by fast and see K155 ASP registration- you wont be able to catch mine to kiss it!
